A well-known mental health campaigner is playing a leading role in the fuel protest on Dublin's O'Connell St.
Ray Larkin from Rahan posted a video on Facebook on Tuesday with the following message: "Earlier today I led a protest on O’Connell Street alongside farmers, hauliers, and hardworking people from all walks of life who are being hit hard by the never-ending rise in fuel costs.
Myself and my team have brought this part of O’Connell Street to a standstill, and we’re holding our ground while more vehicles gather. This is about being heard, seen, and not ignored. It’s about standing up for every person and business affected by the rising costs of fuel and supporting them in the stressful times they are experiencing through no fault of their own.
Something must be done about this crisis NOW !
