KINNITTY GAA have announced an exciting community fundraiser that will see participants take on the challenge of climbing Croagh Patrick on Saturday, May 17th.
The initiative aims to bring people together for a memorable and rewarding day out, while raising vital funds to support the ongoing development of the club and its facilities, which benefit the wider Kinnitty community.
The event was officially launched at an information evening held in Kinnitty Community Centre, where there was a strong turnout and enthusiastic response from those in attendance. Organisers have expressed their delight at the level of early sign-ups and the positive energy surrounding the event. The climb is open to people of all ages and abilities, with a strong emphasis on participation, enjoyment, and community spirit. To make the day as accessible as possible, organised bus transport will be provided to and from Kinnitty.
Speaking about the event, Willie Boland, Chairperson of Kinnitty GAA, said: “We’re delighted with the level of interest so far following our information evening, and it’s great to see such a positive response from the community. This promises to be a really enjoyable day out for all, and we’d encourage anyone who is interested to get involved. It’s a fantastic opportunity to come together, take on a challenge, and support Kinnitty GAA at the same time.”
Those interested in taking part or learning more can refer to the event poster or contact the organising team directly.
