CONCEPTA, the world record setting goose who had three clutches of gosling in the past year, stole the show at the Tullamore St Patrick’s Day presentation night on Friday last.

Master of Ceremonies at the event was parade secretary, Sean O’Brien who thanked all the winning entries present, the hard-working committee members and the sponsors who financial support was essential to the smooth running of the parade. He also thanked Digan’s for hosting the event.

The prizes were presented to representatives of the winning groups by members of the St Patrick’s Day committee.

The winning entries in the Tullamore parade were as follows:

Best OVERALL Entry - National Ambulance Service

Best NEW Entry - Tullamore Lithuanian Community

Best COMMUNITY Entry - Tullamore Tidy Towns Association

Best SCHOOL Entry - Gael Scoil an Eiscir Riada

Best BAND - Mullingar Town Band

Best SPORTS Entry - Tullamore Basketball Club

Best YOUTH Entry - St Mary's Youth and Community Centre

Joint Best ENTERTAINING Entry - Golden Ravens & Concepta, the "Record Breaking" Goose

Best BUSINESS Entry - Patrick Mitchell & Co.Ltd

Best Dressed DOG - OSPCA
