TULLAMORE Amateur Dramatic Society (T.A.D.S.) is set to bring big laughs to the stage four weeks from today (Wednesday) with "Bookworms", a sharp and brilliantly funny comedy by acclaimed Irish playwright Bernard Farrell.

Running from Wednesda, May 13 h to Saturday, May 16 at 8pm in Esker Arts,"Bookworms" promises audiences an evening of clever, laugh-out-loud theatre written by John B. Keane Lifetime Achievement Award recipient.

Set in an Irish book club that quickly unravels into chaos, Bookworms is packed with witty dialogue, eclectic characters, and the kind of observational humour that Irish audiences know and love.

As secrets emerge and personalities clash, what begins as a polite literary gathering spirals into something far more entertaining.

T.A.D.S., long recognised as one of the Midlands’ leading drama groups, is known for delivering high-quality productions that consistently entertain local audiences.

Director Jacinta Dillon said: “This is one of the funniest scripts I’ve read in years. It’s fast, clever, and incredibly relatable – audiences will definitely see a bit of themselves in these characters. We’re really excited to bring it to the Esker stage in May.”

Tickets are priced at €18 and are available now via www.eskerarts.ie. Early booking is strongly advised as strong local interest is expected. For more information about T.A.D.S., please visit www.tullamoredrama.ie
