Young handlers event returns to Tullamore Show with exciting new training show

Training show will feature beef and dairy categories on show day in early August

THE highly anticipated Young Handlers Event is set to return as part of the Tullamore Show & FBD National Livestock Show, marking a special year as the event celebrates its 35th anniversary. This year introduces an exciting new addition: a dedicated Training Show aimed to inspire and educate the next generation of livestock handler.

The event will take place on Sunday, April 26, the event will be held at its new location, Annaharvey Farm, Tullamore(R35 A045).

Activities will begin at 10am, with a full day of demonstrations, competitions, and interactive learning opportunities. This event offer a free family day out, all you have to do is register for free ticket online at www.tullamoreshow.com to avail of your free goodie bags, food, spots prize and more.

The Training Show Competition will include Beef and Dairy categories, open to age groups 8–12 years and Under 18s, with free entry and spot prizes available throughout the day. Entries need to submitted through our website www.tullamoreshow.com

The young handlers programme not only feature a new training show but will also hosts the return the “Future Stars of the Show Ring,” which will showcase many different breeds of cattle.

Grooming techniques such as washing and clipping

Showing etiquette and ring presentation

Practical insights from experienced livestock handlers
