Shane Lowry right in contention with 18 holes to go at The Players Championship
Shane Lowry is right in contention with 18 holes to go at The Players Championship after the completion of the third round on Monday afternoon.
After a brilliant five under par third round, which included a hole in one on the 17th, Shane finds himself just three shots off the lead and in a tie for eighth place.
Nearing the end of his second round on Sunday, Shane was on the cutline but a strong finish to that round and an excellent third round have him right in contention.
His is on six under par with leader Anirban Lahiri just three shots ahead on nine under. Sebastian Munoz, Doug Ghim, Sam Burns and Paul Casey all sit on eight under with Cameron Smith and Tom Hoge one shot further back on seven under.
It will be another quick turn around for the players with the final round set to get underway shortly
