Offaly GAA secretary Colm Cummins.
THERE was a big vote of confidence in Offaly GAA officers at the annual Convention on Tuesday night.
All the main officers were returned unopposed and there will be only two changes on the Offaly GAA Management Committee for 2023.
Tubber's Joe Higgins had to step down as Leinster Council delegate under the GAA's five year rule on officers serving in the one position and he was replaced by Bracknagh's Ciaran Groome.
Kilclonfert's Elaine Kelly also stepped down as Children's Officer. That job is an appointment for Offaly GAA chairman Michael Duignan and he will make his nomination in January. He also appointed Brendan Minnock, Shamrocks as the planning and training officer and Drumcullen's Peter Lyons as safety and facilities officer. All other roles are nominated by clubs and liable for elections.
The 2023 management committee is:
Chairman – Michael Duignan (Durrow);
Vice chairman – James Murphy (Rhode);
Secretary – Colm Cummins (Edenderry);
Assistant secretary – Christy Todd (Ballycommon);
Treasurer – Dervill Dolan (Clara);

PRO – Padraig O'Meara (Clara);

Cultural officer – Michelle Hogan (Birr);
Coaching officer – Carina Carroll (Ballinamere);
Planning and training officer – Brendan Minnock (Shamrocks);
Safety and facilities officer – Peter Lyons (Drumcullen).
