Four men have been charged after drugs worth more than £1 million were seized by police in two different locations.
On Wednesday at around 3.30pm, police searched a property on Carleton Drive, Giffnock, recovering a quantity of cocaine with an estimated street value of £1 million.
Two men, aged 29 and 35, were arrested in connection with the recovery in East Renfrewshire and will appear in Paisley Sheriff Court in due course.
Later that day, police pulled over a Toyota Yaris on the A74(M) northbound, near junction 17 by Lockerbie in Dumfries and Galloway.
Police found £100,000 worth of cannabis in the vehicle and two men, aged 29 and 58, were arrested and charged.
They will appear in Dumfries Sheriff Court in due course.
Police Scotland has urged people to report concerns about drug-related activity in their area to them.
Detective Superintendent Stevie Elliot said: “Information from the public is absolutely crucial to our work and we would continue to urge anyone with knowledge or concerns about drugs activity in their area to contact Police Scotland on 101.
“Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
