Three in hospital after two-vehicle collision on Dumfries and Galloway road

Three people are in hospital after a two-vehicle collision in Dumfries and Galloway.

On Saturday at around 12.20pm, police responded to the crash on the A75 at Newton Stewart.

Three people were taken to hospital and another three were treated by the roadside.

The road was closed in both directions after the collision, but later reopened at around 4.08pm.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
