A man has been charged following a dog attack which left an 81-year-old woman and her own dog in need of medical treatment.
The pensioner and her pet were walking close to the junction of Beeches Road and Beeches Avenue in Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire, when the incident occurred at about 3pm on Thursday September 19.
A larger dog, which was light and dark brown, approached and attacked the smaller dog.
When the woman tried to separate them, she was bitten on the leg by the larger animal.
She was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow and her dog required treatment from a vet.
Following a police investigation, a 65-year-old man has now been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
He has been reported to the procurator fiscal.
