Crews are in attendance at a derelict building which was reported to be on fire earlier on Monday night.
At around 8.23pm, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service responded to reports of the blaze at a derelict building in Kilwinning Road, Irvine, North Ayrshire.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) says it has sent four appliances to the scene and the fire is ongoing.
Police Scotland is also in attendance. There are no reported injuries.
A spokesperson for SFRS said: “We are currently responding to a report of a building fire in Irvine.
“We received the call at 8.23pm and currently have four appliances there.
“There is a high reach appliance acting as a water tower present and a main jet is in use at the single-story, derelict building.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “We were called to a report of a fire at a disused building in Kilwinning Road, Irvine, around 8.30pm on Monday October 7 2024.
“The road has been closed while emergency services respond to the incident.
“There are no reports of injuries.”
