A man has been arrested and charged after police seized drugs worth an estimated £350,000.
Officers stopped a car heading north on the M73 near Gartcosh, North Lanarkshire, at around 10.30am on Tuesday.
They searched the vehicle and recovered class A drugs with an estimated street value of £350,000.
Police Scotland said a 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the drug recovery.
He is expected to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court in due course.
Detective Sergeant Graeme Stoddart said: “Recoveries such as this highlight our determination to protect the public from this type of harmful criminality.
“Information from the public is absolutely crucial to our work and we would continue to urge anyone with knowledge or concerns about drugs activity in their area to contact Police Scotland on 101. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
