A four-year-old girl is in a “critical” condition in hospital after being knocked down by a car outside a school.
The incident happened outside Blackfriars Primary School in Cumberland Street, in the Gorbals area of Glasgow, at about 3pm on Tuesday.
Emergency services attended and the girl was taken to the city’s Royal Hospital for Children, where her condition is described as “critical”.
The 57-year-old man driving the white MG HS car was not injured.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call on Tuesday October 15 at 15:08 hours to attend an incident on Cumberland Street in Glasgow.
“We dispatched two paramedic response units, a critical care paramedic, one ambulance, and our trauma team to the scene.
“Our first resource arrived on scene within three minutes, and we transported a child patient to the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow.”
Police Scotland Sergeant Chris Hoggans said: “Our thoughts are with everyone involved and our inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened.
“We are asking anyone with information, including dash cam footage or private CCTV, to get in touch if they can assist with our investigation.”
