Man suffers ‘slash wounds’ in assault in fast food restaurant car park

A 39-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital after suffering “slash wounds” during an assault by three men in Bishopbriggs.

The incident happened at around 6.05pm on Wednesday at a fast food restaurant car park off Crosshill Road.

The man was approached by three assailants and suffered what police have described as “slash wounds” in the incident.

He was taken to hospital for treatment and his injuries are described as serious but not life-threatening.

Detective Inspector Kenny McDonald said: “Our investigation is ongoing and we are following a positive line of inquiry.

“I would ask anyone who witnessed the incident or may have dashcam footage from around the time of the attack to come forward.

“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 2738 of October 16 2024, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
