Police charge second man over death of 44-year-old in North Ayrshire

A second man has been charged in connection with the death of a 44-year-old in North Ayrshire.

John Taylor was found with serious injuries outside his home in Pollock Crescent, Kilwinning, at around 1.55pm on Friday October 18.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said on Friday that a 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with his death.

It comes after a 26-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the death earlier in the week.

A 53-year-old man who was previously arrested has been released pending further inquiries.

Police said investigations are ongoing.

Detectives have set up a website that gives members of the public access to a form to send information directly to the major investigation team, which can be submitted anonymously.

The portal can be accessed at: https://mipp.police.uk/operation/SCOT24S10-PO1

Alternatively, anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 1878 of October 18.
