A man has been charged following the discovery of a suspect item which caused homes to be evacuated and the bomb squad called out.
Police Scotland said the Navy bomb squad carried out a controlled explosion on a device found when searching a property at Overtoun Court, Dunswin Avenue in Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire, on Monday.
Several properties were evacuated as a precaution and a cordon was put in place, with residents told it was safe to return to their homes at around 2.30am on Tuesday.
