A man has been arrested following an incident in Cambuslang on Monday evening that saw police close a number of roads.
Emergency services were called to the Glebe Place area of the town at about 5.10pm following reports of a “disturbance”.
A 46-year-old man has now been arrested in connection with the incident, police confirmed.

On a post on social media police said their inquiries are continuing, but that the incident has now been “contained” and that there was no risk to the wider public.
They also thanked the public for their patience, and have confirmed the roads that were closed following the incident have now reopened.
