Man injured in train station attack

A man required hospital treatment after being assaulted by two men at a train station.

The victim, aged in his 30s, was punched and stamped on in the attack at Alexandria station in West Dunbartonshire, which occurred at 2.25pm on Friday December 6.

Police investigating the incident have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.

They said one of the attackers is white, aged about 25, and with short ginger hair, and he was wearing a black T-shirt, grey joggers and white trainers at the time.

The other man is also white and aged about 25, but with short dark hair, and he was wearing a grey hoodie, black joggers and white trainers.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, with reference number 425 of December 6.

Alternatively they can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
