Man, 50, arrested in connection with serious assault after death of man

A 50-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a serious assault following the death of a 53-year-old man in North Lanarkshire more than a week ago.

On Friday, Police Scotland said the man had been arrested following the death of James McMaster.

Mr McMaster was found dead in a flat in Maxton Crescent, Wishaw on Thursday December 5.

Police Scotland said inquiries are ongoing.
