Three people charged after man attacked in Dumfries and Galloway

Three men have been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged attempted murder in Dumfries and Galloway.

Officers had been called to a disturbance at a property on Wallace Court in Castle Douglas at about 11.30pm on Thursday.

A 38-year-old man was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.

Police Scotland said on Friday that three men had been arrested over the disturbance and on Saturday announced they had been charged in connection with an alleged attempted murder.

The three men – aged 29, 39 and 49 – are due to appear at Dumfries Sheriff Court on Monday.
