A man who was killed in a motorbike crash in South Ayrshire has been named by police.
Brian McGill, 59, died on Friday after his KTM 1290 Superduke crashed on the B741 south-west of Hamilton Bridge, Crosshill, at about 4.55pm.
Mr McGill, of Dailly, near Girvan, was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency services arrived.
The road was closed and later reopened at about 12.15am on Saturday.
Sergeant Nick Twigg, of Police Scotland, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Mr McGill, and inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash.
“We are appealing to anyone who saw the motorbike in the area prior to the crash or witnessed the crash itself to contact us.
“Additionally, if you have any dash-cam or helmet camera footage that may assist with our investigation, please get in touch.”
Anyone with information has been asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 2669 of Friday March 21.
