Man, 31, charged after motorcyclist killed in crash

A man has been charged in connection with a fatal crash.

At around 11.15pm on Tuesday, a Kawasaki KLE650 motorbike and a car crashed on the A90 Queensferry Road in Edinburgh.

The 61-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead by emergency services at the scene.

A 31-year-old man has now been arrested and charged in connection with the crash.

Police Scotland said inquiries are continuing.

Sergeant Paul Ewing said: “We would like to thank the public for their assistance with our investigation and our thoughts remain with the family of the man who died.

“Anyone with any further information is asked to contact 101, quoting reference 4274 of April 8.”
