Police appeal after car deliberately driven at 16-year-old boy

Police are appealing for help after a car was deliberately driven at a 16-year-old boy.

The incident took place on Monday in Birkhill, Angus, at around 10.30pm.

The white Ford drove towards the boy on Coupar Angus Road.

The boy was travelling on a moped near the entrance to Camperdown Country Park. He was then followed by a second car into the car park.

Police say the boy later attended hospital as a precaution.

Constable Christopher Flanders said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area and witnessed what happened to contact police.

“In addition, anyone with any dash-cam, mobile video or CCTV footage around the time of the incident, is asked to get in touch with officers as they may be able to assist with our enquiries.”

Anyone with information can contact police via 101 quoting reference 0520 of 29 April.
