A body has been found in the search for a 72-year-old man who disappeared while sailing his boat.
Alistair Turnbull, known as Garry, was last seen on Tuesday at around 1pm in the Fleet of Bay area in Dumfries and Galloway.
His sailing vessel was later discovered in the Wigtown Bay area.
Police said a body was recovered from the Fleet of Bay area near Whithorn at around 4.40pm on Thursday.
Formal identification is yet to take place but Mr Turnbull’s family have been made aware.
Police said there are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
