Firefighters are tackling a wildfire that broke out in Aberdeenshire on Wednesday morning.
Nine fire appliances were sent to the blaze near Alford, in the Suie Road area.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said it was alerted to the fire at 11.36am on Wednesday.
People have been asked to avoid the area, and those living nearby have been asked to keep doors and windows closed.
A SFRS spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 11.36am on Wednesday, May 28 to reports of a fire in the open near Alford, Aberdeenshire.
“Operations Control has mobilised nine appliances to the Suie Road area, where firefighters remain working to extinguish the fire.
“People living within the local area are asked to keep windows and doors closed for the time being.
“Please also avoid the area as far as possible.”
