A man has been charged after police seized almost £1 million of drugs in North Lanarkshire.
Officers with a warrant found a cannabis cultivation at premises on High Street in Shotts on Thursday morning.
Police said the drugs have an estimated street value of around £997,800.
A 51-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the discovery, and will appear in court in due course, police said.
Sergeant John Logan said: “This is a very significant recovery and is an example of our efforts to disrupt the activity of illegal drugs in Scotland.
“Drugs cause misery in our communities and the public has an important role to play in helping Police Scotland target those responsible for the cultivation, supply and sale of illegal substances.”
Anyone with information about drugs in their community is asked to call Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
