A 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a “disturbance” that saw armed police called to a property in Ayrshire.
Police said they received reports a 55-year-old man had been injured at a property in Cross Street, Galston, at about 8.05am on Saturday.
He was taken to hospital for treatment.
Officers remained at the property where police said there was a subsequent “disturbance” involving another man.
Police said they arrested the 33-year-old in connection with the incident, and that inquiries are ongoing.
They added that the situation had been “contained” and that armed police had been called as a “precaution”.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a disturbance at a a property in Galston.
“Around 8.05am on Saturday, 28 June, 2025 we received a report of a 55-year-old man having been injured in Cross Street.
“He was taken to hospital for treatment and enquiries are ongoing.
“Officers attended at the property where there was a subsequent disturbance involving a second man.
“The 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the disturbance and inquiries are ongoing.
“Officers will remain in the area while the investigation continues and anyone with concerns can approach them.”
