Man found dead in property named by police after woman arrested

Police have named a man who was found dead at an address in Glasgow on Sunday, after a woman was arrested in connection with his death.

Johnson Ewere, 35, was found dead by officers at a property on Charles Street in Royston at about 10.25pm.

Earlier on Wednesday, police confirmed a 35-year-old woman had been arrested in connection with the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.25pm on Sunday June 29, officers were called to a property in the Charles Street area of Glasgow.

“Emergency services attended and the body of a 35-year-old man was discovered.

“A 35-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the death and inquiries are ongoing.”

Detective Inspector Julie Clisby added: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Johnson at this difficult time.”
