A motorcyclist in his 70s has died after a crash involving six vehicles.
The collision happened on the A82 northbound between the Renton off slip and the Stoneymollan roundabout in Renton, near Dumbarton, at around 1.45pm on Saturday, Police Scotland said.
It involved a Harley Davidson motorcycle with side car, a black Volvo XC90, a Nissan Juke, a Vauxhall Corsa, a black Audi A6 sport and a grey Seat Leon.
A 71-year-old man who was riding the motorcycle died at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed, the force said.
None of the drivers of the five cars were injured.
The road was closed for investigations on Saturday but re-opened shortly after 8pm.
Sergeant Kenny Malaney said: “Our inquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances of what happened. Sadly, the male motorcyclist died, and our thoughts are with his family and friends.
“The road would have been busy at the time and I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage to contact us as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information on the incident should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1927 of Saturday 12 July, 2025.
