A teenager has died and six people were taken to hospital following a crash in Angus.
The two car collision happened on the the B966 between Edzell and Inchbare, near Brechin at around 9.30pm on Thursday.
Police said the 19-year-old man driving one of the vehicles, a blue Ford Fiesta, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The passengers in the Fiesta – a 17-year-old girl, a 17-year-old boy, and two men aged 18 and 23 – were taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment.
The 43-year-old woman driving the Kia and a passenger – a 17-year-old boy – were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Police are appealing for information about the crash.
Sergeant Mike Guild said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died.
“Our inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this crash and I would ask anyone who was in the area at that time to get in touch.
“Any drivers with dash-cam footage which may have captured the crash or the events leading up to it are also urged to contact us.”
The road was closed for investigations following the collision and reopened at around 8am on Friday.
