A woman has been taken to hospital after a fire in a block of high-rise flats in Dundee.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said it was contacted shortly after 1pm on Thursday to attend the blaze in Dudhope Court.
It sent three appliances to the scene to extinguish the fire.
Police Scotland said road closures were in place around Dudhope Terrace and St Mary Street.
Some properties were evacuated, and members of the public were asked to avoid the area.
Residents were advised to keep their windows and doors closed.
A fire service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 1.03pm on Thursday to reports of fire at a multi-storey building on St Mary Street, Dundee.
“Operations control mobilised three fire appliances and a height appliance to the scene.
“One casualty was taken into care by the Scottish Ambulance Service.
“Crews extinguished the fire and left the scene at 3.15pm after ensuring the area was made safe.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 13:06 to attend an incident on Dudhope Court, Dundee.
“Three ambulances, a paramedic response unit and a special operations response team (Sort) were dispatched to the scene.
“One patient was transported to Ninewells Hospital.”
