Two charged following protest at building housing asylum seekers

Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged hate crime following a protest at a building housing asylum seekers in Aberdeen.

The incident at a student accommodation block on Farmers Hall Lane happened on Thursday September 11.

It is understood asylum seekers were moved into the block last week.

The men, aged 26 and 40, have been released on an undertaking and are due to appear in court in due course.
