Search continues for woman missing after house fire in Aberdeenshire

Police are continuing efforts to trace a woman missing following a fire at a house in a coastal village.

Officers said she was inside the property in Gardenstown, Aberdeenshire, when the blaze broke out early on Thursday.

Four fire engines went to the scene in Seatown in the village when the alarm was raised just before 5am that day.

One man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Police and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service are carrying out a joint investigation and emergency services remain at the scene.
