Searches are under way in the River Leven after a woman was seen in the water on Friday evening.
Emergency services went to the scene at Dumbarton when the alarm was raised at around 9pm on September 19.
The police Air Support Unit, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and HM Coastguard, were involved in the search in West Dunbartonshire but found no trace of the woman.
Further searches are being carried out on Saturday with assistance from the Air Support Unit.
Police are appealing for information from anyone who may have seen the woman, who is described as white, 6ft tall, with long brown hair and a cross tattoo on her left shoulder.
She is believed to have been wearing dark jeans, a dark top and black trainers with white soles.
