Man arrested and charged over death of motorcyclist in Christmas Day crash

A man has been arrested and charged after a fatal crash near Stirling on Christmas Day last year.

David Buckley, 60, died after his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a car on the A811 west of the city.

The incident took place at around 2pm and Mr Buckley was pronounced dead at the scene.

After the crash, Mr Buckley’s family said he would be “forever missed and never forgotten”, describing him as a “wonderful father, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend”.

On Tuesday, Police Scotland said a 73-year-old man had been arrested and charged after their investigation into the crash. He was later released.
