A man was attacked by two other men in Glasgow, one of whom struck him with a weapon, police said.
The incident took place at around 10pm on Thursday in the Whitefield Road area of Govan, where the man, 28, was approached by the two and was seriously assaulted.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment.
Officers are appealing for information following the assault.
Detective sergeant Nicol McPherson said: “Inquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed anything to contact us.
“We also ask anyone with private CCTV or dashcam footage of the area at the time to come forward.”
