Street closed off in Irvine as police investigate death of woman

Police have closed off a street in Irvine, North Ayrshire, as they investigate the death of a woman.

Officers with Police Scotland said they were called at around 6.15am on Tuesday.

Pladda Avenue, which is in the Broomlands area, was closed off as a result of the investigation.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Emergency services are at the scene and the public is advised to avoid the area.”
