An 81-year-old man has died after he was struck by a bus in Edinburgh just over a week ago, police have said.
The man was hit by the bus in the early hours of Sunday, September 28.
Emergency services were called to the incident at the junction of Annandale Street and Haddington Place near the city centre, at about 1.20am.
Police Scotland have said the man died in hospital on Saturday, October 4. No one else was injured in the incident.
Sergeant Louise Birrell said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who died and they have asked for privacy.
“Inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are asking anyone with information that could help, who has not already spoken to officers, to get in touch.”
Anyone with information has been asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0302 of September 28.
