One person has died and two others were taken to hospital following a one-vehicle crash in Livingston.
The incident involving a grey Audi A6 occurred at about 8.30pm on Thursday at the junction of Knightsridge East Road and Lindsay Way.
Emergency services attended but the driver of the car, a 35-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said his next of kin are aware.
Another man, 24, and a 17-year-old boy who had been passengers in the car were taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
The road was closed for several hours following the incident while investigations were carried out, and reopened shortly before 5am on Friday.
Sergeant Christopher Bright said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died.
“Our inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed anything around the time of the incident to please contact us.
“In addition, anyone with dashcam footage is asked to get in touch as this may be able to assist.”
