Teenager in ‘serious’ condition following crash involving car and e-motorbike

A teenager is in a “serious” condition in hospital following a crash between a car and an electric motorbike in Glasgow.

The 16-year-old boy had been riding a Talaria Sting R electric motorcycle on Ardencraig Road in Castlemilk when it was involved in a collision with a silver MG HS SUV.

The incident happened at about 4.55pm on Thursday.

Emergency services attended and the teenager was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where his condition is described as “serious but stable”.

Police said the car failed to stop at the scene, but that it was later recovered in the Hoddam Terrace area of Castlemilk.

The road was closed for a number of hours following the incident while investigations were carried out, and reopened at about 3.30am on Friday.

Inspector Ryan Curran, of Greater Glasgow Road Policing Unit, said: “Our inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this incident and I would urge anyone who saw what happened to come forward.

“We are also keen to speak to anyone with dashcam, doorbell or CCTV footage from the area around the time of the crash.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2302 of October 16 2025, or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
