Two marked police vehicles, a van and a car have been involved in a crash in Edinburgh.
Police said three people were treated at the scene following the incident at 6am in Broughton Street, in the city centre.
Road closures are in place from East London Street, Albany Street, Forth Street and York Place.
Emergency services are at the scene and police urged people to avoid the area and use an alternative route.
The road remained closed after 9am on Friday, with the area being taped off by police.
A damaged police car and police van were taken away from the scene by a recovery vehicle.
