Police have arrested and charged a further five people in recent months in connection with investigations into a suspected gang feud in the central belt.
In total 62 people have now been arrested in connection with Operation Portaledge, the name of the police investigation into the spate of violent incidents.
Police said that two men, aged 40 and 39, were arrested and charged on Tuesday October 28, in connection with an alleged theft by housebreaking at a property on Mortonhall Park Place in Edinburgh on Tuesday March 18.
Police said that both men appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last week.
Officers also made a number of arrests in September.
Police executed a warrant at a property on Margaret Thomson Crescent in Edinburgh on Monday September 1 and seized a firearm and drugs.
A 19-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man were arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
Police said that both appeared in court last month.
On Thursday September 4 a 55-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with an alleged serious assault on Pitcairn Grove in Edinburgh on Thursday May 22.
He is due to appear in court at a later date.
Incidents including assaults, fire-bombings and shootings began earlier this year in Edinburgh, before spreading across the central belt.
