A man has been arrested after a teenager was struck by a car in Port Glasgow while walking home from a night out.
The 19-year-old man was taken to hospital following the incident on Ardmore Road in the Inverclyde town in the early hours of Sunday.
Medical staff described his condition as critical on Sunday.
Police said on Tuesday that a 38-year-old man has been arrested in connection with alleged road traffic offences.
Officers said investigations are continuing.
