Boy, 13, taken to hospital after Bonfire Night attack

A 13-year-old boy was taken to hospital after being seriously assaulted on Bonfire Night.

The child was attacked in Paisley, Renfrewshire, just before 9pm on Wednesday.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.55pm on Wednesday November 5, we received a report of a 13-year-old boy seriously assaulted in the Gauze Street area of Paisley.

“He was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow.

“Our investigation is continuing, with officers following a positive line of inquiry.”
