Man taken to hospital with serious injuries after Fife road crash

A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a one-vehicle crash in Fife.

The crash took place at about 12.15pm on Saturday on the A92 near Cowdenbeath and the male driver of the car was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.

The female passenger was taken to Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, for minor injuries.

The A92 at the Cowdenbeath junction remains closed, with emergency services at the scene.

Motorists have been asked to avoid the area.
