Police are appealing for information after a man died in a motorway crash on Monday morning.
The 62-year-old man died at the scene of the incident on Junction 5 of the M74 near Bellshill, North Lanarkshire.
A silver BMW 320D was involved in the collision, which took place shortly before 7am.
The road was closed for about six hours as an investigation took place.
Sergeant Gemma Blackadder, of Police Scotland, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this extremely difficult time.
“We would ask anyone who has yet to speak to officers get in touch and review any dashcam footage for anything that may assist with our inquiries.”
