Body found in search for busker missing since August

A body has been found in the search for a busker missing for three months.

Lewis Cuthbert, 25, was last seen in the Lesmahagow Road area of Strathaven, South Lanarkshire, on Monday August 4.

A major search operation was launched for Mr Cuthbert, who was known to busk in the city centres of Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Police said the body of a man was recovered from the River Clyde, near the Pacific Quay area of Glasgow, on Tuesday morning.

Formal identification is yet to take place but police said Mr Cuthbert’s family have been informed about the discovery.

Investigations to establish the full circumstances are continuing, officers said.
