A fire at an electrical substation in a city centre which led to road closures and a store evacuation has been extinguished.
Emergency services went to the scene in West Nile Street, Glasgow, when the alarm was raised at around 4.30pm on Saturday.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said an H&M store near the substation was evacuated while they dealt with the incident.
At the height of the incident more than 50 firefighters were at the scene, with eight fire engines, a high reach appliance and a command support unit there.
People posting on social media described hearing explosions and lights flickering in the area just before the incident.
There were no reports of any injuries.
The last fire engine left the scene at around 9.40pm on Saturday.
Some roads were closed while emergency services dealt with the incident but later reopened.
