A man has appeared in court charged with murder following the death of a mother in Dundee.
Lili Stojanova, 54, was found unresponsive after officers were called to a report of a possible disturbance at a property in Milnbank Road in Dundee on Saturday December 6.
She was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Andrew Bajek, 42, was charged with murder when he appeared in private at Dundee Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
He did not enter a plea and was fully committed and remanded in custody.
The family of Ms Stojanova paid tribute to her in a statement released through Police Scotland earlier on Tuesday.
They said: “We are heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Lili, a cherished mother, grandmother, daughter and a woman of remarkable talent.
“A true artist in every sense, she expressed herself through her art, which was a reflection of her gentle heart and unique soul.
“Losing her is a tragedy, and it is something our family is struggling to comprehend.”
