The Coastguard has confirmed it is responding to an incident involving an unoccupied vessel that has run aground off Inverbervie Beach in Aberdeenshire.
Emergency services were alerted at about 11.15am on Saturday after reports of a creel boat having run ashore with its engine running.
A Coastguard spokesman said: “A HM Coastguard helicopter has been seen to conduct a search alongside an HM Coastguard fixed wing aircraft.
“Coastguard rescue teams from Montrose, Stonehaven, Arbroath and Aberdeen, as well as lifeboats from Aberdeen, Arbroath, Montrose and Stonehaven.
“The situation is ongoing.”
